Max Ernst Greis was born in Manhattan in 1981. Growing up in New York City, he attended public schools & graduated from Stuyvesant High School. He spent two years at the University of Vermont in Burlington, studying art, history, and sociology. After deciding to pursue a lifelong passion for art, he transferred to the School of Visual Arts and moved home to New York City in 2001. Graduating SVA in 2005, he received the Alumni Scholarship Award. He’s shown work at the Visual Arts Gallery, the Artists Network, and the National Arts Club. He currently works and lives in Manhattan.
